Mod revival

對英國有興趣的人，一定都知道光頭族的存在，其實光頭族就是Mods文化下的產物，有興趣的人，可以看看今年金馬影展中的一部電影This Is England，影片就以道地英國人的視角切入光頭族的文化。

在台灣，說到Mods可能很多人會直覺聯想到偉士牌、雅痞、七分西裝褲與亮麗的皮鞋，可是卻很少人會提到Mods的音樂，60年代時披頭四與The Kinks都曾經把Mod Rock發揚光大，而到了80年代也有The Jam接棒繼續發熱，不過到了90年代後Blur與Osis這些英倫天團雖接了棒卻漸漸的把Mod Rock轉變成屬於他們自己的Brit-pop，一直到了最近幾年The Ordinary boys的竄起，才又吹起了一陣小小Mod revival風，可惜似乎也是雷聲大雨點小。



扯了那麼多屁話，其實都不是重點，重點在於The White Trainers Community這支新晉的樂團，他們也打著Mod revival的名號發行了自己的首張專輯，這支由三個來自倫敦的年輕小伙子，在音樂中徹底展現了Mods那種無拘無束的歡樂氣息，飽滿的鼓擊、輕快的吉他與主唱不羈的叫囂聲，他們確實成功的創作出一張足以讓了不了解Mods的人都能感受到Mods精神的專輯。

感覺上07年這張專輯Shotters Nation比首張專輯成穩多了
我聽的也比較順耳
雖然也因為這樣少了那種想Fuck Forever的氣勢
(我一直認為這是把Pete Doherty個人與前樂團Libertines分割開來的特質)
不過這張新專輯整體上還是好聽的
